Laser Hair Removal
LaserCare offers the most advanced hair removal lasers which protect the skin while delivering maximal energy to the hair follicle. We have been successfully performing laser hair removal treatments for over 16 years. We own three of the best hair removal lasers on the market today and have treated hundreds of satisfied clients.

At LaserCare we use both the Candela Alexandrite GentleLase and the LightSheer Diode Laser by Lumenis, both yielding excellent results. Our clients have 70-100% hair reduction after 4-6 treatments. All body hair can be treated, including backs, legs, underarms, bikini lines, Brazilian bikinis, nose hair, ears, and facial hair. For best results 4 to 6 treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart are usually required. Results start right away...You will have no hair for 6 weeks or more following your first treatment with no rash or ingrown hairs!

Laser Hair Removal vs IPL(Pulsed Light)?
Traditional hair removal techniques, such as shaving, plucking, waxing and depilatory creams provide only temporary relief. Until now, the only recognized way to remove hair permanently has been by electrolysis — which can be tedious, time-consuming and uncomfortable. Hair removal lasers utilize light at a particular wavelength which is highly absorbed by the pigment within the hair. The light is converted to energy which completely disables the hair follicle and growing cells without damaging delicate pores or structures of the skin, as is often the case with electrolysis.

A laser is also different from a light-based or pulsed light hair removal device. Lasers deliver one wavelength of light to a particular target to heat it up and ultimately disable or destroy it. It is a focused continuous wave light (not filtered) and is more exact in treating what we want it to treat. An IPL or intense pulsed light device is not a laser. It is filtered light The wavelength range is larger, but because the light is filtered out, it's power is diminished and it is much more superficial and scattered. Many more treatments would be needed and still the hair may not be permanently destroyed. A laser treatment may cost a little more than a light-based treatment because the cost of the equipment is higher. However, better results in fewer treatments can be achieved.

Laser hair removal’s success is 30% technology and 70% technique. While it is important to have a laser that can achieve the results, it is even more important to see someone with significant experience and a history of results. The more skilled the nurse or technician is, the fewer treatments it will take to achieve the desired result.

Who is a good candidate for Laser Hair Removal?
Since light energy is absorbed by the skin pigment called melanin, those individuals with coarse, dark hair and light skin respond best. In people with darker skin color (more melanin), the skin competes with the hair for absorption of laser energy resulting in potential damage to the skin, not the hair. Until now, people with a tan or very dark skin were not considered candidates for laser hair removal. Our new Light Sheer Diode Laser has now made it possible to treat skin of all colors using aggressive skin cooling and a choice of pulse durations. This means that by delivering the laser pulse over a longer period of time, the skin can be adequately cooled and protected.
